Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on one of these Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAGs. They’re all the rage, you know? But the price tag on the real deal? Ouch. So, I started thinking, maybe I could try to make one myself. It is said to be an “original order”, sounds interesting, why not have a try!
Sourcing the Stuff
First things first, I needed to get the materials. I hit up a bunch of online stores, looking for good quality leather, you know, the kind that feels soft but tough. And the hardware, it had to be just right. I didn’t want some cheap stuff that would break after a few uses. It took a while, but I finally found what I was looking for. Order those materials and wait for them to arrive.
Getting Down to Business
Once I had everything, I started on the project. I used a YSL JUNE BOX BAG that a friend lent me as a reference. I made sure to be extra careful because I wanted my bag to look as close to the real thing as possible.
- Cutting the leather: This was nerve-wracking! One wrong cut and the whole thing could be ruined. But I took my time, measured everything twice, and got it done.
- Stitching: I don’t have one of those fancy sewing machines, so I had to do it all by hand. It took forever, but I wanted those stitches to be strong and even.
- Putting it all together: This was the most satisfying part. Seeing all the separate pieces come together to form a bag was really cool. I attached the hardware, the straps, the logo, everything.
The Final Product
It took a few weeks, and a lot of late nights, but I finally finished it. And you know what? It turned out pretty darn good! It’s not perfect, of course, but it looks a lot like the original. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it’s holding up great. It’s got that “vintage” and “modern” look, just like the real deal. I’m actually pretty proud of myself for pulling this off.
So, yeah, that’s my story of remaking the Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot. Plus, I saved a ton of money. Win-win!
