Getting Started
- Took a deep breath.
- Gathered all my tools. I’m talking leather, thread, needles, the whole nine yards. It’s a bit of a mess, but hey, that’s how we roll.
The Process
Began by cutting the leather. Man, cutting Saffiano is no joke. It’s tough stuff, but I managed. After what felt like a million years, got all 83 pieces cut out. Phew!
Then came the sewing. Oh boy, the sewing. Started with the body of the bag. Stitching, stitching, and more stitching. My fingers were not happy, but I pushed through. Seeing it come together, piece by piece, was pretty cool, not gonna lie.
Next up, the handles. These were tricky. Had to get the shape just right, or it would look wonky. Took a few tries, but I finally nailed it. Attached them to the body, and it started to really look like a bag.
Almost There
The lining was next. Chose a nice, soft fabric to contrast with the tough exterior. Sewed that in, added the zipper, and the inside pockets. Details, details, details. They make all the difference, right?
The Final Touches
