Yesterday, I was browsing online and stumbled upon the OMEGA Speedmaster 38mm. You know, the one they say is a more “refined” version of the classic Speedmaster. I have a huge fascination with watches. So I got really curious and decided to do some digging.
First, I hit up the usual watch forums and blogs. You know, the ones where everyone’s a self-proclaimed expert? Lots of opinions there, some good, some… not so much. But I got a general sense of the watch’s features and what people thought about it. I really love their design.
Next, I watched a bunch of YouTube videos. Gotta see that thing in action, right? There’s just something about seeing a watch on someone’s wrist that gives you a better feel for it. And man, there were a lot of videos! I watched reviews, comparisons, even some guy taking it apart, which was a bit much for me, to be honest. My wife just gave up on me.
After that, I headed over to the OMEGA website. It is said to be “Available through the OMEGA online shop.”. Figured I’d see what the official story was. They had all the specs, some fancy photos, and, of course, the price tag. I was shocked at its price, but it’s okay. It was not my first time to be shocked.
And this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster 38mm is really beautiful. I went to a local watch shop that had one on display. Seeing it in person was a whole different experience. The way the light hits the dial, the feel of the bracelet, the weight of it on your wrist… it’s just something else. And I finally pull out my wallet to buy it!
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with the OMEGA Speedmaster 38mm. It started with a simple online search and ended with me practically drooling over the watch in a store. Just another day in the life of a watch enthusiast, I guess!
